Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 2 New York Strip steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Remove steaks from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
  2. Preheat grill to high heat. Brush steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  4. While steaks are resting, melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic, thyme, and rosemary, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour herb butter over steaks and serve with roasted vegetables or a simple salad.

Tip: For maximum flavor, let steaks rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
